I replaced the filter, strainer, nozzel, and after the second callback the cad cell. After the tune up the burner fired right up and ran fine.

Difficult to find very intermittent lockouts, but I personally would first look at flue air intake and if flue gases are possibly being drawn into flue internally or externally if balanced type.

Sep 13, 2019 · Not expensive. Do not rule out the motor having a fault causing rare lockouts. The oil pump also can have a faulty solenoid valve (mechanical part). And to add to the list, - since the transformer has not been replaced it could be causing a weak spark occasionally. The settings look okay on above paperwork.

Oct 09, 2007 · The Enforcer New Member. On my oil boiler I have a clear plastic tube inside the boiler which shows a big air bubble in the oil line. There is a hex-key fitting somewhere along that line which when turned (1/4 - 1/2) will pull the air out. It is normal to have to have a bubble or a few bubbles in that pipe though. Hope this helps.

Nov 27, 2008 · For some reason it locks out intermittently during the day. Once the time clock kicks in the lockout loght on the control box comes on, there is no prepurge or ignition, just silence! I've serviced the boiler, changed the control box, changed the capacitor, checked the air flow, checked the ignitors, and checked the wiring contacts.
